I’m currently in the finalization stage of “The Shard and The Serpent” (TSATS), which means a lot of things.

The most important is reading each chapter and asking myself:

• 🚩Does this serve the characters, the plot, or the world? If the answer is no, then the chapter gets flagged.

• 🚩Is any part of this chapter off in pacing? If yes, it gets flagged.

• 🚩Was this chapter a new addition in the most recent draft? If yes, it gets flagged (to check for any continuity errors).

This stage isn’t about looking for grammatical errors. It’s about making the final story shine.
