Darkness: If you’ve read For Blood and Flame, you know exactly who Death and Ruin are. You know how violent they can be, and how disorienting their POVs will likely be. That’s all I can say without spoiling! It will certainly have a content warning list a mile long.
As Tragic as For Blood and Flame?: This is a tragic romance. So in some ways, yes. In others, it’s a lot of fun and quite frankly an absolute mindfuck. I mean that figuratively and literally. There will be gore, lots of metaphorical (and not-so metaphorical) feminine rage, some trauma dumping to comb through and rectify, and it’s essentially a story between two murderers. This is not a redemption arc, but it does open up Death’s storyline a bit more for growth.
